There are more and more restaurants, shops and supermarkets that offer specific products or dishes for this public. In Spain the sector is more developed at an industry level, but at a service level not yet. Veggie options have become a necessity in all hospitality businesses and, at the same time, a little understood element in most of the kitchens of the HORECA channel.

Spain is among the 10 most vegetarian countries in the world. 10% of Spaniards already have a vegetable diet according to a study by the consulting firm Lantern. That equates to 3.8 million people. The main reasons for following a vegetable diet, health and concern for the environment and animal suffering.
